The Ministry of Education warns independent candidates to ensure the integrity of the exams – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Ministry of National Education confirmed that validating the academic level of independent candidates is an extremely important measure to ensure the integrity and transparency of the intermediate education certificate and baccalaureate exams for the 2026 session.

The Ministry called on the directors of educational institutions to be accurate and responsible when approving information, with daily follow-up from the heads of examination and schooling departments, coordination with the National Office for Distance Education and Training, and contacting the candidates to settle their situations, and to complete the process within the specified deadlines.

The Ministry explained that the additional arrangements aim to control the digital file of candidates through the National Board of Examinations’ websites (bem.onec.dz and bac.onec.dz), and to verify the accuracy of data such as name, surname, date of birth, academic year, registration number and division. The statuses are classified according to the consistency of the information, with two lists extracted: the first for candidates who have begun their studies, and the second for those who have not studied at the required level or at the institution, and delivered to the Schools and Examinations Departments before January 14, 2026.

The heads of examination services and directorates also follow up on pending cases daily, and treat candidates who studied in closed institutions before January 19, 2026, while the National Office for Distance Education and Training verifies the level of candidates affiliated with it, and sends the final lists to the branches of the Office before midday on January 19, 2026.

The Ministry confirmed that any candidate whose academic level has not been approved or whose false statement has been proven will have his registration canceled and he will be notified via the official website.
