The Minister of Justice supervises the graduation of 1,672 re-education officers – New Algeria

The Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boudjemaa, will supervise, tomorrow, Monday, at the National School for Prison Administration Staff in Kolea, the graduation ceremony for the batches of chief officers, officers and re-education agents.

A statement from the Ministry, today, Sunday, stated that the batches include 1,672 trainee students, including 55 chief re-education officers, 88 re-education officers, and 1,529 re-education assistants. They followed training for a period of 12 months, alternating between theoretical studies and applied work.

It is noteworthy that these students benefited from an adapted training program, in line with the requirements of prison reform within the framework of modernizing the administrative and financial management of penal institutions and promoting educational, health and psychological activities for detainees, with the aim of preparing them for their social reintegration within international standards for the protection and respect of human rights.
