The Minister of Health appreciates the efforts of pharmacists in serving the profession

The Minister of Health, Mohamed Siddiq Ait Messaoudane, stressed the continuation of coordination work to enrich the draft executive decree specifying the conditions and modalities for practicing the profession of pharmacist and assistant pharmacist, as it is a basic legal framework to keep pace with developments in modern practice and enhance their roles within the health system. He stressed that it should be prepared in a participatory and consensual framework that leads to a text that develops the profession and dedicates the health-related roles of the pharmacist according to scientific standards, thus enhancing his contribution to prevention, awareness and therapeutic follow-up in harmonious integration with the rest of the health professionals.

Masoudane received a delegation from the National Syndicate of Private Pharmacists, and the meeting formed a space for a responsible and constructive dialogue characterized by a convergence of visions, where a number of professional concerns and prospects for developing pharmaceutical practice were discussed in a way that enhances the quality of health care, by virtue of its daily proximity to the citizen and its basic role in ensuring the safe use of medicines.

The Minister of Health also explained that the goal of this endeavor is not limited to preparing a regulatory text, but rather goes beyond it to establish a modern pharmaceutical practice based on efficiency and professional stability, while achieving a balance between the requirements of regulation and the reality of the field, highlighting the importance of integrating the young pharmacist into this reform dynamic, by supporting young competencies and empowering them with appropriate practice conditions in the public and private sectors, in a way that raises the quality and security of health services and enhances confidence in the national health system.

For its part, the union expressed its satisfaction with the reform path pursued by the Ministry of Health within the framework of a responsible participatory dialogue, stressing its full readiness to contribute effectively and constructively to the success of these reforms in a way that serves the national health system.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister appreciated the efforts of pharmacists of all types in serving the profession and the patient, praising their dedication to enhancing pharmaceutical services, calling for the continuation of joint work in a way that contributes to the development of the national health sector.
