The Minister of Education reveals the creation of specialized secondary schools in various fields – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saghir Saadawi, revealed the creation of specialized secondary schools in informatics and automated media, as part of a comprehensive national vision to develop the educational system, in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the aim of “preparing students who possess scientific and technological competencies that qualify them for smooth integration into future university majors, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.”
The Minister explained, during his hosting at the National Radio Forum, yesterday, that the reform of educational programs and curricula has become an inevitable necessity imposed by the rapid transformations in scientific and technological knowledge, in addition to the development of the economic and social environment, which, according to him, is directly reflected in the Algerian school, and makes it required to keep pace with this dynamic, in a way that serves the future of the country and ensures the formation of the human being in its cognitive and value dimension at the same time.
The Minister revealed the opening of a file for the preparation and study of a new division in secondary education, concerned with informatics and automated media, which provides initial training that allows students to better integrate into the relevant university disciplines, especially higher schools specialized in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
He stressed that the highest directives of the state, and the decisions of the Councils of Ministers, stress the necessity of opening the way for secondary schools specializing in the exact sciences, considering this type of education as a “mini-university” that allows the student greater depth in his chosen specialty, as is the case in the Mathematics Division, which aims to enable the student to gain theoretical and applied depth in mathematics and its related subjects, most notably physics.
This is new recruitment competitions for professors
For his part, the Minister of Education spoke about employment competitions, noting that: “Professional experience of less than a month is not counted in the employment competition, while every experience exceeding a month is counted, provided that the relevant certificates are presented. Practical experience is also evaluated in parallel with the oral interview and the certificate is related to the specialty, which allows obtaining specialized competencies that meet the needs of the sector.”
He stressed that: “The stability of the professor and the development of his competencies are among our priorities, and that the current procedures reflect the balance between exceptional inclusion and legal competition in a way that guarantees the quality and continuity of education in all circumstances.”
Saadawi spoke about the issue of integrating professors, explaining that: “The Ministry resorted to integration during exceptional periods, when there was no possibility of holding competitions, and it was based on practical experience acquired by contractors during their previous period of work, which qualified them to assume their duties effectively. This decision resulted in the integration of more than 82 thousand professors, after 62 thousand professors had previously been integrated in previous stages,” adding in the same context that: “This measure was taken in particular during the period of the Corona pandemic.” To ensure the continuity of education and secure human resources for the sector.”
The Minister added: “With the start of the current academic season, the Ministry announced the holding of a national competition based on the certificate, which is one of the largest competitions witnessed by the education sector, where contractors and beneficiaries of integration, in addition to everyone who has previous experience, can participate in the competition and present their certificates and experience.” The Ministry confirmed that: “The process is carried out digitally and with complete transparency, with the bulletin disseminated to everyone, to ensure justice and credibility.
