The Minister of Communication begins a series of consultative meetings with officials of academic and training institutions – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of Communication, Zouhair Bouamama, received today at the Ministry’s headquarters a number of officials from academic and training institutions, including Professor Abdelmalek Mazhouda, Director of the National School of Administration “Moulay Ahmed Medghari”, Professor Khaled Laalaoui, Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Media Sciences, and Professor Zakaria Wehbe, Director of the Higher School of Political Sciences, along with Professor Malika Atwi, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Sciences at the University of Algiers 3.

These meetings come at the beginning of a series of consultations that the Ministry of Communication intends to expand later to include other actors from the university and academic community, in addition to experts and professionals in the field, within the framework of the Minister’s keenness to value national competencies and appreciate the scientific and pedagogical efforts made by these elites.

This initiative also falls within the embodiment of the direction emphasized by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which calls for opening the way for national competencies to contribute to building and developing the media and communication system, and strengthening the partnership between the communication sector and relevant academic and research institutions.

These meetings constituted an opportunity to discuss the horizons and possibilities of joint cooperation, especially through organizing joint activities and events, and the contribution of academic institutions in supporting and making the initiatives that the Ministry of Communication intends to launch during the current year successful, thus contributing to developing media performance and enhancing professionalism and training in this vital sector.
