Saifi and his Omani counterpart agree to raise the pace of industrial partnerships – Algerian dialogue

The Omani Minister was accompanied during this meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, in the ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Algeria, Saif bin Nasser bin Rashid Al-Bada’i, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Qana A, the Sultanate of Oman, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas, in addition to Saad bin Suhail Al-Makhini Bahwan, one of the senior shareholders in the Bahwan Economic Group and the Algerian-Omani Fertilizer Company, and a number of Omani officials and businessmen.
This meeting comes in the context of strengthening the strategic partnership between Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman, in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdel Majid Taboun, after his recent visits to the Sultanate, and the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to Algeria, “according to the statement.
By the way, a strange price for the positive role played by the Sultanate of Oman in supporting the bilateral economic partnership, especially through its contribution to the Hyundai auto industry project in Algeria, considering this a “successful model for qualitative industrial cooperation”.
He also highlighted the major opportunities that Algeria provides to invest in manufacturing and food industries, and turning industries, calling for raising the actual pace of partnership according to an integrated and profitable economic approach to both parties.
For his part, the Omani minister expressed his thanks for choosing his country a guest of honor for the next edition of the Algeria International Exhibition, which will start tomorrow, Monday, considering this as evidence of the depth of strategic ties between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, a number of procedures were agreed to enhance cooperation, including studying the completion of common industrial areas to support investment and bilateral production, studying investment projects in the fields of manufacturing industries, food industries, and industrial recycling, setting a joint database to monitor investment opportunities and accompanying customers from the two countries, and encouraging mutual investment according to the strengths of the economies of the two countries, by providing effective motivation and support mechanisms.
The two parties also agreed to form a joint working group that includes lofty frameworks from the Ministry of Industry and the competent Omani institutions, in order to “set a practical road map and implement it in the field within a period not exceeding a month,” according to the same source.
And “this new dynamism confirms the common will in building an integrated industrial partnership, which contributes to enhancing economic development and industrial sovereignty in both countries,” adds a statement by the Ministry of Industry.
