The Algiers State Security statement stated that, within the framework of combating various kinds of crime, especially those related to theft crimes, the formation of a group of evildoers, the Second Urban Security Services in the security of the Rouiba Administrative District were able, last week, to arrest 3 people who had robbed a jewelry store in Rouiba and recovered all the stolen items.
The same authorities added that the operation, which was carried out in coordination with the regional competent prosecution, resulted in the seizure and recovery of a quantity of yellow metal weighing 115.42 grams, a marine signal, prohibited white weapons of various types and sizes, masks, leather gloves, and two motorcycles used in the theft.
The Metropolitan Police Department indicated that the suspects would be brought before the competent regional prosecutor according to a criminal procedures file.
On the other hand, and within the framework of combating crimes related to the illicit trade in narcotics and psychotropic substances, the Baba Ali Judicial Police mobile squad in the security of the administrative district of Bir al-Tuta was able, last week, to arrest a suspect in the case of illicit trade in narcotics and psychotropic substances, with the seizure of more than 1.5 kilograms of narcotic drugs and 660 capsules of psychotropic substances.
This operation was carried out after extensive field investigations, which enabled investigators to detect suspicious activity of a person who peddles various types of drugs, to identify him and arrest him, with the seizure of 1 kg and 566 grams of processed drugs, as well as 660 hard ecstasy tablets.
The same authorities reported that the suspect was brought before the competent regional prosecutor according to a file of criminal procedures.
