The “Merengue” star’s injury is old and worsened due to a wrong assessment

Real Madrid issued a medical statement in which it revealed that its Brazilian striker, Rodrigo Silva de Gues, suffered a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament and a tear in the lateral meniscus of his right leg.
The player will be away from the stadiums for a long period, perhaps the most important of which is the one that coincides with the dates of the World Cup in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico (June 11 to July 19, 2026).
It caused friction with a Getafe player in the 26th round of the Spanish League. The Brazilian was injured half an hour after entering.

The “Athletic” platform revealed a big surprise about Rodrigo’s injury, as it talked about previous damage that was exacerbated by the doctors’ neglect of treating him through surgery.
The same source revealed that Rodrigo’s knee was hurt while participating with the Brazilian national team in 2023.
The Merengue medical staff chose not to resort to surgical intervention, despite knowing that part of his cruciate ligament had been torn, so the player has since participated in matches on a regular basis.
Real Madrid suffered two painful blows in a short period of time, as the team’s top scorer, Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, was injured earlier.
The Royal Club also lost three valuable points in the race to compete for the “La Liga” title in favor of its traditional rival Barcelona, as the latter moved away from the lead by four points.
The young coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, will find himself forced to deal with the lack of offensive solutions in the upcoming matches, perhaps the most notable of which will be the one that will bring him together with Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final in a week’s time.
Rodrygo carried on playing regularly for Real Madrid and Brazil despite suffering a partial anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in his right knee when on international duty in 2023.
