The launch of the national campaign against drugs under the slogan “Let us unite to protect our children” – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Soria Mulji, supervised the launch of the national campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances, within the National Strategy 2025-2029, under the slogan: “Let us all unite to protect our children.” The campaign focuses on prevention, early intervention and social care, while directing its efforts towards youth, children and adolescents, as they are the groups most vulnerable to this phenomenon.

The campaign includes more than 300 neighborhood cells that include doctors, specialists in sociology, psychology, and social assistants, with the aim of educating citizens and enhancing awareness of potential dangers, in addition to directing addicted people and their families towards psychological and social support and reintegration programmes. The campaign lasts eight days and includes all states, with a focus on neighborhoods and public spaces that include various segments of society.

The Minister stressed that the success of this initiative depends on coordination between institutions, and the cooperation of all partners and actors, to achieve effective protection for youth and children, establish a healthy and societal culture of drug prevention, and preserve the dignity of citizens and their psychological and physical safety.
