The launch of “The Crown of the Holy Qur’an” with the participation of 18 competitors - New Algeria

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Youssef Belmehdi, attended the activities of the first competitive evening of the “Crown of the Holy Quran” competition, organized by the Algerian Holy Quran Channel, in the presence of the Dean of the Algiers Mosque, His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Mamoun Al-Qasimi Al-Hassani, and an elite group of executives. In a statement to the media, the Minister confirmed that the “Crown of the Holy Qur’an” program has been able, over the course of fifteen years, to carve out a prominent position for itself among the most prominent Qur’anic programs in Algeria, noting that the path of success is built gradually, from one stage to another, until its return intensifies and reaches broader horizons, which is what was achieved for this competitive space that has moved from a national character to an international presence.

The Minister also recalled the experience of the Algeria International Prize for Conservation Koran And intonation, explaining that it started as a national award, then developed to a Maghreb level, before gaining an international dimension in which many countries from different parts of the Islamic world compete today, considering that this path reflects Algeria’s ability to establish successful Qur’anic projects with a global radiance. He added that “The Crown of the Holy Qur’an” is moving in the same direction, as its current edition witnesses the participation of nine countries from Africa and the Arab and Islamic world, which enhances its presence and establishes its position as one of the most prestigious Qur’anic programs in the national media.

The Minister praised the distinguished level demonstrated by the Algerian participants, male and female, and appreciated the great efforts made by teachers of the Holy Qur’an in Quranic schools And mosques and corners, the fruits of which began to be clearly evident in such high-level competitions.

The Minister concluded his statement by congratulating those in charge of the program and all the participants, wishing everyone success until the winners are crowned with the Crown of the Holy Qur’an at the conclusion of this edition.
