The International Union of Railways praises the inauguration of the “Bachar-Tindouf-Gara Jbeilat” line – New Algeria

The International Union of Railways (UIC) welcomed the inauguration of the 950-kilometre Bashar-Tindouf-Gara Jbeilat railway line.
The International Union of Railways confirmed – according to what was reported on public television – today, Wednesday, that “the launch of this project demonstrates the dependence of major industrial players on railways as part of a comprehensive and environmentally friendly development strategy.”
The federation added, “The rapid progress of the project once again highlights what can be achieved when all stakeholders work effectively together toward a common vision.”
The International Federation pointed out that “the Bashar-Tindouf-Gara Jbeilat train passes over the longest overhead bridge in Africa, with a length of 4,111 kilometers over the course of the Wadi Doura and allows a load capacity of 32.5 tons for each axle to transport large quantities of goods in addition to passengers.”
He also thanked the Algerian National Agency for Studies and Follow-up of the Achievement of Investments in Railways, as a member of the organization, for this great achievement.
