The higher authorities attach importance to protecting and caring for their citizens abroad

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the national community abroad, Sufyan Shayeb, praised the honorable image reflected by the national community residing in Saudi Arabia, which has distinguished historical and fraternal relations with Algeria, reviewing the importance that the country’s higher authorities attach to protecting and caring for its citizens abroad.

On the occasion of the visit that led him to Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to participate in the Eleventh Global Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations of the United Nations, which took place on December 14 and 15, the Secretary of State met, on Tuesday, with members of the community residing in this brotherly country.

This meeting falls within the framework of continuing to devote the year of listening and consulting with the people of the diaspora community, which was established by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with the need to inspect their conditions, find out their conditions, and listen to their concerns.

This meeting comes as a continuation of the activity that was organized last March with members of the community residing in the consular district in Jeddah.

This meeting, which took place in a brotherly and friendly atmosphere and was well received by the attendees, enabled direct communication and interactive discussion with the community members present about their concerns and proposals.

In his speech on this occasion, the Secretary of State praised the honorable image reflected by the national community residing in this brotherly country, which has distinguished historical and fraternal relations with Algeria, noting in this regard the role of the community in building bridges of communication between the two countries and consolidating these ties.

While he briefed members of the Algerian community in the Kingdom on the tireless efforts undertaken by the Ministry to develop consular services and continue to promote digital transformation, he reviewed the number of initiatives launched in a number of fields and the framework of coordination with various state institutions to ensure a tangible response to the needs of our citizens abroad and strengthen his relationship with the motherland.

Chaib listened carefully to the community’s various inquiries, stressing the state’s keenness to study and interact with them as part of ongoing efforts to serve Algerians abroad.
