The government meeting witnessed the study of projects registered within the framework of implementing the instructions of the President of the Republic, related to embodying digital transformation, as the government reviewed four presentations on that, as stated in a statement by the Prime Minister’s Departments.
The same statement stated, “This Wednesday, Prime Minister Seifi Gharib chaired a government meeting devoted to studying several points.”
In this regard, the statement explained, “At the beginning of its session, the government studied a draft executive decree specifying the methods for transferring the basic facilities and equipment completed in the title of the new city to the relevant departments and institutions.”
The Prime Minister’s statement of interests added, “The intended goal of this text is to establish a practical method for improving the performance of public equipment located within the borders of the new cities and valuing them in an optimal way, with the aim of ensuring their full functional role, which would be reflected in improving the services provided to citizens at the level of these new cities.”
On the other hand, the same statement continues, “The government continued to study registered projects within the framework of implementing the instructions of the President of the Republic related to embodying digital transformation.”
In this regard, the government meeting reviewed four presentations related, respectively, to the following, according to the same source:
1- The extent of progress in digitization of ministerial sectors.
2- The project to complete the second national data center, which was originally put into service on September 26.
3- The National Portal for Digital Services (Dzair digital services) project, which constitutes a real starting point towards modern, easier and more effective management with the possibility of unified and secure access via the Internet and mobile phones to public services that respond to international requirements.
4- Establishing two strategic, last-generation facilities that constitute the first national cloud computing in Algeria, directed to securing and modernizing public and economic services, by embracing sovereign data and accelerating the pace of digital transformation.
