The Directorate of Forests and Green Belt of the State of Algiers called on fellow citizens to exercise caution and contribute to the prevention of potential dangers, in accordance with the warnings of the meteorological services regarding the continued weather fluctuations and strong winds, according to a statement issued by the Directorate today, Friday.
The directorate explained in its statement that the current weather conditions may cause damaged trees or branches to fall, posing a threat to the safety of passersby and property.
In the same regard, the Forestry Directorate called for immediate reporting of any swaying trees, branches that are likely to fall, or damaged roots, which may pose a danger when the winds intensify, and to precisely determine the location to facilitate the intervention process.
The Directorate also indicated that notification is made via: the green number 1070 of the Directorate of Forests and the Green Belt of the Algerian State.
This appeal comes within the framework of strengthening preventive measures and protecting citizens and their property during the period of weather fluctuations.
