The first batch of artificial intelligence engineers graduated this season – New Algeria

The academic year 202-2026 will witness the graduation of the first batch of engineers artificial intelligence And data science from the National Higher School for Artificial Intelligence during June 2026, which has a strength of 107 graduates.

According to a written response by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, to the question of MP Rabah Jeddou, a copy of which was reviewed by “elhiwar us”, the Ministry has developed, in anticipation of this event, a multi-dimensional strategy aimed at providing diverse employment opportunities for these graduates in a way that ensures their effective integration and optimal retention of these highly qualified competencies within the national system.

This strategy is based on three main axes: direct employment at the level of national bodies and institutions, enhancing the spirit of entrepreneurship, and supporting the academic research path, based on a wide network of economic and social partners at the national level.

In this context, the Minister says that, in order to facilitate the integration of graduates into the industrial and economic environment, the school organized several specialized events to link bridges of communication with the labor market, represented by national meetings and salons in which public and private institutions and emerging companies participated, with the aim of exploring direct employment opportunities in various sectors.

These initiatives have resulted in the commitment of a number of major national bodies, including Etisalat El Gazzar, the Algerian Space Agency, the Algerian Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies, and others, to provide direct employment positions for graduates of the first batch scheduled to graduate in June 2026. This process includes a total of 157 students who are graduates of the National Higher School of Artificial Intelligence, as well as the National Higher School of Mathematics.

To embody these commitments, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through the General Directorate of Education and Training, took the initiative to write to the relevant institutions in an official capacity in order to ensure accurate follow-up and actual implementation of the announced employment pledges. The High Prefecture for Digitization has recently sent a request to the Higher School of Artificial Intelligence that includes a direct employment offer for the benefit of 10 students after the graduation of the first batch.

As for students with an entrepreneurial orientation, the school has developed an integrated support system represented by a business incubator concerned with accompanying and developing innovative projects, the number of which currently exceeds thirty projects, of which 7 projects may receive the label of an innovative project/emerging enterprise, while several other projects are still under study and evaluation. It is expected that this path will contribute to creating added value and creating new job positions through the initiatives of the graduates themselves.

The Minister stressed that, in order to ensure the continuity of high-level academic and scientific supervision, I decided Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Opening a training program for the doctoral level, provided that the number of open financial positions covers the entire graduating class in mathematics and artificial intelligence for the benefit of students who wish to move towards scientific research and practice university supervision tasks.
