The European Union calls for an end to the Iranian nuclear program and confirms support for diplomacy – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The President of the European Council and the President of the Commission issued a statement affirming the European Union’s readiness to contribute to reducing the escalation and creating the appropriate conditions for a return to negotiations with Iran.

The statement stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to progress, calling for an end to Iran’s nuclear program and a reduction in its missile program.

The European Union stressed that its priority is to protect vital sea lanes and prevent disruption of supply chains, while expressing concern about the impact of the regional crisis on Lebanon and its humanitarian repercussions.
