On Wednesday, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Department, Prime Minister Seifi Gharib chaired a government meeting devoted to studying many important points.
At the beginning of its session, and within the framework of following up on the process of completing the activation of the new system for managing economic real estate directed to investment, and enhancing the real estate supply directed to project owners, the government listened to a presentation related to the functioning of the National Agency for Industrial Real Estate.
On the other hand, the government continued to study sectoral road papers for the period 2026-2028, as it studied road paper projects for the sectors of mines, health, labor, employment, social security, national solidarity, family, and women’s issues.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister appointed Kamal Oukassi as Director General of the National Office of Statistics, where Professor Kamal Oukassi holds a doctorate in economic sciences and has served as a research professor at the Faculty of Economic, Commercial and Management Sciences at the University of Bejaia.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to renew the vision for the statistics system, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic, as this system must be integrated with modern technologies to produce, process and use statistics.
He also highlighted the need for a regional organization of the national statistical system and its interoperability to ensure the optimal use of data in implementing public policies.
The Algerian government seeks to strengthen governance and improve the performance of public institutions, with a focus on supporting investment and national projects, and developing information and statistics systems to ensure accurate and effective public policies.
