The Minister of Mujahideen and People of Rights, Abdelmalek Tashrift, confirmed that the crimes of colonialism in Reggane, and in every inch of Algerian land, are crimes that do not have a statute of limitations and cannot be erased or overlooked.

This came during the supervision of the Minister of Mujahideen Tashrift, accompanied by the Governor of Adrar Province, Fodil Dhouifi, on Thursday, in Burgan, the activities commemorating the 66th anniversary of the French nuclear explosions in the Algerian Sahara (February 13, 1960/2026), with the participation of the local civil and military authorities, and the national secretaries of the revolutionary family organizations.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Mujahideen, Minister Tashrift confirmed, in a speech on the occasion, that this meeting in front of the memorial monument is an opportunity through which we can recall a passing incident from our history, and recall the elements of a heinous crime committed by colonial France in these areas on February 13, 1960, with the first nuclear explosion, and the subsequent superficial and underground explosions, which were a dark chapter of the genocide that colonialism pursued throughout 132 years. year.

The Minister of Mujahideen and People of Rights added that from this pure place, and in a voice full of certainty and historical responsibility, that the crimes of colonialism in Reggane, and in every inch of the land of Algeria, are crimes that do not have a statute of limitations, and cannot be erased or bypassed, as the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, stressed on every occasion.

The same statement explained that Minister Tashrift supervised, on this occasion, the launch signal for the sixth edition of the Bargan Half Marathon, and visited the thematic museum of the Bargan nuclear explosions, where he was given explanations about its historical spaces that document that heinous crime. He also listened to a presentation about the project to expand this museum institution.
