The continued denial of the rights of the Palestinian people is the reason for the dangerous escalation in the region – New Algeria

Prime Minister Nadhir Al-Arbawi delivered a speech by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the 15th Islamic Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the Gambian capital, Banjul.
In his speech, the President of the Republic expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to my brother, His Excellency President Adama Barrow, President of the sisterly Republic of The Gambia and the current President of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, for hosting this summit.
The President of the Republic said that the brotherly Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, have been subjected for more than 6 months to a genocidal war by the Israeli occupation in front of the eyes of the world, and this does not shake the global and humanitarian conscience.
The President of the Republic also added, saying: “In addition to their painful suffering under the weight of bombing and killing, the Palestinians in many areas are subjected to a policy of deliberate starvation through preventing the entry of humanitarian aid convoys imposed by the occupying authority.”
The President of the Republic continued: “In the face of these crimes, international organizations and institutions stand politically unable to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy, most notably the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”
The President of the Republic continued: “Those bodies that have always praised their adherence to peace and the dialogue of civilizations between nations, as if humanity had lost in Palestine all manifestations of humanity and civilization, no law, no principles, and no values.”
President Tebboune added: “What is happening in occupied Palestine is not only the extinction of international law or the collapse of the global order based on common rules, but rather constitutes a blow to the legitimacy of international law and human rights.”
The President of the Republic stated that when we see in Palestine an occupier who denies all human values ​​and strips an entire people of their humanity and their right to exist, then what remains of human rights?

The President of the Republic also noted that we must work closely together at the international level in order to support the struggle of the Palestinian people to liberate their occupied territories and obtain their legitimate rights to establish their independent state with Holy Jerusalem as its capital.
The President of the Republic stressed the need to adopt a more determined and decisive approach to force the international community to assume its full responsibility regarding providing the necessary protection for the Palestinian people and stopping criminal acts against defenseless Palestinian civilians in all the occupied territories.
The President stated in his speech delivered by Nadhir Al-Arbawi: “Algeria has previously confirmed that the dangerous developments taking place in the region and their dire repercussions on international peace and security result from continuing to deny the historical right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, turning a blind eye to the crimes of the occupation, and the inability of the international community to enforce the law.” International”.
President Tebboune also went on to say: “Algeria, which will continue to carry our group’s concerns and defend its central cause in the Security Council, renews its call to the international community so that everyone bears its responsibility to put an end to this human tragedy.”

Our responsibility as members of the organization pushes us to collectively commit to defending the cause of the Palestinian people

The President of the Republic recalled the responsibility placed on the members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which drives us to make a collective commitment to defend our just causes, most notably the Palestinian cause, and to confront all attempts to harm the sanctities of the Islamic nation.
The President of the Republic stressed that we must work according to a comprehensive and cohesive approach to confront manifestations of Islamophobia.
The President concluded by emphasizing the collective commitment to fighting extremism and terrorism and rejecting hate speech, which must be matched by fighting hate speech and extremism that targets our constituents, promoting the values ​​of coexistence, and promoting a culture of openness and tolerance.
The President of the Republic concluded by saying that achieving these noble goals requires reconsidering the organization’s governance and making the necessary reforms in implementation of the decision adopted at the initiative of Algeria in order to ensure that it keeps pace with multidimensional challenges and confronts risks.
