A statement by the National Gendarmerie Command stated that, within the framework of combating crime of all kinds, especially neighborhood gangs and drug dealers and psychotropic substances, units of the Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie in Algeria were able, in 3 separate operations, to put an end to the activity of these criminal networks, which promote poisons and disturb public peace.
The same interests added regarding the first operation carried out by the National Gendarmerie in Algeria on the beach, which enabled the arrest of a person and the seizure of 1,020 pregabalin hallucinogenic tablets, a tourist vehicle, and a financial sum of 3 million centimes from promotional revenues.
The National Gendarmerie Services indicated that the second operation was handled by the National Gendarmerie in Staoui, the capital, where 3 people were arrested and 1,200 pregabalin hallucinogenic tablets, a tourist vehicle, and a sum of money amounting to 3 million centimes of promotional revenues were seized.
The same services also highlighted that the third operation was handled by the Search and Investigation Service of the National Gendarmerie in Bir Mourad Rais in the capital, which enabled the arrest of 3 people and the seizure of 524 pregabalin hallucinogenic tablets and a banned knife.
The National Gendarmerie Command stated that after completing all applicable legal procedures, the detainees will be brought before the judicial authorities, each according to jurisdiction, in order to consider the charges against the detained suspects.
