A statement by the Ministry of National Defense, on Monday, explained that, in the context of the efforts exerted by units and detachments of the National Army to maintain the security, unity and stability of the country, the year 2025 culminated in achieving qualitative field results in the field of combating terrorism and combating organized crime in all its forms, which confirms the correctness of the approach adopted by the senior leadership of the People’s National Army in this field and reflects the high level of preparedness and professionalism of the Armed Forces.
As part of the fight against terrorism, the Armed Forces were able to neutralize 67 terrorists, arrest 369 support personnel, uncover and destroy 12 hideouts that were used by terrorist groups, and recover 104 firearms and 13 bombs of various types, in addition to quantities of ammunition of various calibres.
In the same context, and within the framework of combating organized crime, the various units of the People’s National Army redoubled their tireless efforts aimed at confronting the scourge of drug trafficking in the country, as they arrested 2354 A drug dealer, thwarting attempts to bring 35 tons of processed kif across the border with Morocco, and seizing 934 kilograms of cocaine and 40 million hallucinogenic tablets.
