The Arab Parliamentary Union announced today, Monday, that it is following with great interest all initiatives and efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the Republic of Yemen, stressing that a comprehensive and sustainable solution is the best way to achieve this.
The Union’s statement, signed by its president, Ibrahim Bughali, explained that the Authority supports all endeavors aimed at providing opportunities for achieving a comprehensive and lasting peace that ends the suffering of the Yemeni people, stressing the importance of preserving Yemen’s unity and national sovereignty.
The Union also pointed out the necessity of uniting regional and international efforts and working in a coordinated manner to provide the appropriate climate for reducing escalation, calling for the establishment of a political environment based on dialogue and understanding to overcome the current challenges.
At the conclusion of the statement, the Arab Parliamentary Union stressed support for the path of political solutions that put the interests of Yemen and its people at the top of priorities, praising the joint efforts to consolidate the calm and push the political process forward, stressing that a comprehensive and sustainable solution is the way to achieve security, stability and prosperity in Yemen.
