The Algerian state continues its commitment to supporting the health sector

The Minister of Health, Ait Messaoudane, reiterated that the state, under instructions from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, continues its commitment to supporting the health sector, by strengthening health structures, supporting them with qualified human resources, and providing the necessary medical equipment, in a way that ensures improving the quality of the public health service and improving its performance.

Masoudane confirmed, in a press statement, that the visit he made to the state of Laghouat, which came in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at strengthening the national health system and consecrating the principle of justice in access to treatment across the various parts of the country, especially the states of the south, had allowed to stand and see the extent of the embodiment of the established health programs and projects, in addition to evaluating the level of performance of health structures and the quality of services provided to citizens.

The Minister explained that this field visit resulted in recording positive results and tangible practical indicators, as it was determined that three advanced linear accelerators were put into service at the level of the Shahid Muhammad Razouk Cancer Control Center. They are modern medical equipment that meets the approved standards, which will enhance the capabilities of caring for cancer patients at the level of the state and neighboring states, and reduce the movement of patients outside the region to receive treatment.

Ait Masoudane also pointed out that the launch of the catheterization department in the field of interventional cardiology at the level of the mixed public hospital institution in Laghouat constitutes a qualitative and real addition to this medical specialty, allowing for improved care of cardiac cases, especially urgent ones.

The Minister added that the motherhood and childhood complex will also be completed, which is a strategic health facility that will improve the conditions for caring for this category of patients, in addition to restoring and equipping Hamida Ben Ajila Hospital.

The Aflo mandate will also witness the completion of a new hospital with a capacity of 240 beds, within the framework of supporting health structures and bringing therapeutic services closer to citizens.

During his speech, the Minister of Health appreciated the efforts made by the Governor of Laghouat Province, and all local executives and actors, in accompanying health projects and ensuring respect for contractual deadlines and quality standards, in a way that serves the public interest and responds to the needs of citizens.

The Minister also reiterated that the state, under instructions from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, continues its commitment to supporting the health sector, by strengthening health structures, supporting them with qualified human resources, and providing the necessary medical equipment, to ensure improving the quality of the public health service and improving its performance.

In the same context, he stressed the need to continue efforts aimed at improving the health sector, by intensifying field visits to the various states of the country, and directly listening to citizens’ concerns, as an embodiment of the state’s commitment to making citizen health its top priority.
