The Algerian Red Crescent reveals its Ramadan program – New Algeria

The Red Crescent has launched a broad and comprehensive national program of field activities in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to accompany and support deserving families and to consolidate the values of social solidarity across the entire national territory.
The Red Crescent program will include – according to what was stated in: Statement by the Authority– Distributing more than 200,000 food parcels, in coordination with local authorities across the entire national territory, to monitor needy families, as well as by relying on the Algerian Red Crescent’s digital platform “Mustafed”, to deliver the parcels to those entitled to them before the advent of the holy month.
As the Algerian Red Crescent announced, it opened more than 400 A restaurant for breakfast for those who are fasting And passers-by, as well as to distribute hot meals across all states of the country, in addition to 17 giant tents across several states such as Algiers, Oran, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Medea, Ain Defla, Boumerdes, Mascara, In Guezam, Mnaia, Adrar, M’Sila, Bou Saada, Laghouat, Batna, Bouira, Khenchela, and Mostaganem, with a daily capacity of between 800 and 1,200 fasting people per tent.
The program also included, Distribution of meals Inside the international airports in Algiers, Oran, and Constantine, as well as a daily breakfast at the Kharouba station in the capital for the benefit of approximately 1,200 passengers daily.
The Algerian Red Crescent also developed a special program to accompany inmates of penal institutions and their families, in addition to supporting and accompanying more than 47 Quranic schools.
As part of the accompanying solidarity activities, the Red Crescent will distribute more than 50,000 Eid clothes for orphans and organize 20,000 circumcision operations for children, accompanied by group parties.
In turn, the Algerian Red Crescent Medical Committee will continue medical convoys across all states of the country, not to mention awareness campaigns at the level of most restaurants regarding diabetes patients and the special diet for the holy month.
It is worth noting that the implementation of this program will be carried out with the participation of more than 12,100 volunteers across various state committees, with an exceptional presence of university students during this year.
At the end of its statement, the Algerian Red Crescent called on all philanthropists and institutions to support this solidarity operation across all states of the country.
