During its 48th session held in Addis Ababa, the Executive Council of the African Union praised the pioneering role played by Algeria on the continent in the areas of youth empowerment, culture, intra-regional trade and the pharmaceutical industry.
The Council approved a special decision for the intra-African trade exhibition hosted by Algeria, appreciating the efforts made under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the good organization of this continental event, and the high level of participation it witnessed.
He also praised Algeria’s leadership in promoting the empowerment of African youth, especially through the launch of the “One Million” initiative, praising its scorecard and describing it as a practical model for integrating youth into development paths, while calling on member states to benefit from the Algerian experience and emulate it in this field.
