The African Championship for locals .. The Greens face Uganda this evening – Algerian dialogue

Today, Monday, the Algerian national team will start a new adventure in the African Nations Championship (Chan 2024), with a difficult first match against one of the teams organizing the competition, Uganda, at the Mandela Stadium in Kampala (S. 18. 00, Algeria time), for the opening round (the third group).

The first group of the third group is of the utmost importance to the national coach, Majeed Bouqra, who realize that a successful start is of great importance to enhance their continental aspirations.

“We have a competitive team, and this forces us to target the victory. We will go to the continental competition to return its crown, and this inevitably passes by achieving a successful start against Uganda.”

The national squad, which was in a promising dynamic by reaching the Golden Square in 2011 and the final match in the 2023 tournament in Algeria, is targeting the title. To reach this goal, the first to pass the Ugandan obstacle, before raising the challenge against Niger, Guinea and South Africa, the teams in its group that remains high.

The colleagues of the player Zakaria Darawi had shown great confidence on the eve of their transfer to Kampala, where the field midfielder told the Algerian Federation, Mahdi Mugham, saying: “First, I am proud to belong to this team. We have a strong group, and we will give everything we have to achieve a good start in this competition.”

In preparation for this competition, the Algerian national team was satisfied with the technical center of Sidi Moussa, which included two friendly matches in Blida, the first in which it tied against the Mauritanian national team (tied: 2-2) and the second lost to the youth of Al-Saoura (1-0), in order to compensate for the two friendly confrontations that were decided before the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which was canceled at the last moment.

Regarding his squad, the national coach was forced to make an emergency change and called Tayeb Mazyani (MCA) to compensate his colleague in Mouloudia, Mohamed Bin Khamasa, the injured person.

On the other hand, the participation of the midfielder, Akram Bouras (MCA), remains unconfirmed by the injury.

The second match of the same third group takes place between Niger and Guinea today (15.0.00), while South Africa left for rest.

The first two qualify for each group for the programmed quarter -finals on August 22 and 23.
