Tashrift calls on members of the community to strengthen their connection to their homeland

The Minister of Mujahideen with Rights, Abdelmalek Tashrift, called on the members of the diaspora community to strengthen their connection to their homeland, contribute to preserving national memory, and actively engage in the path of comprehensive and sustainable development, to confront challenges and win various national stakes.
This came during the reception of the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Defenders, on Tuesday evening, at the Ministry’s headquarters, with students from the national community abroad participating in the first edition of the Winter University.
In his welcoming speech, the Minister stressed that this pioneering initiative embodies the special care that the state, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, gives to its daughters and sons in the diaspora, and its constant keenness to strengthen their connection to their motherland, and to acquaint them with their national history, the qualifications that their country abounds with, and the prospects for contributing to its construction and the erection of its lofty edifice.
The Minister also highlighted the pioneering role of the daughters and sons of the national community abroad during the stages of the National Movement and the glorious Liberation Revolution, pointing to the prominent contribution of students to the national liberation process, especially after the strike of May 19, 1956, which constituted a turning point in the history of the struggle of the Algerian people.
At the conclusion of his welcoming speech, the Minister called on our daughters and sons in the diaspora to strengthen their connection to their homeland, contribute to preserving national memory, and actively engage in the path of comprehensive and sustainable development, to confront challenges and win various national stakes.
It should be noted that this visit included a visit to the ministry’s library, Boualem Belkacemi, and learning about its documentary credits, and a visit to the audio-visual studio, “Mujahid Lamine Bichichi,” in addition to organizing historical events in the “Algiers” lecture hall, which included showing a documentary on the role of our community abroad in the national liberation revolution, especially the demonstrations of October 17, 1961, and listening to live testimonies of both the mujahid Faria Qormiyah and the mujahid Saliha. Jaffal, the Mujahid Issa Qasimi, the Secretary-General of the National Organization of the Mujahideen, Mr. Hamza Al-Awfi, and the Secretary-General of the National Organization for the Sons of Martyrs, Mr. Khalifa Samati, in addition to opening a dialogue session with the students.
The visit was concluded by offering symbolic honors to the students, and taking a souvenir photo, as the students of the community appreciated this initiative, which enabled them to learn about important aspects of Algeria’s history, and learn about the role of the Ministry of Mujahideen and People of Rights in preserving national memory.
