Taking legal measures to impose discipline within all national stadiums – Algerian Dialogue

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdel Rahman Hammad, confirmed that legal measures had been taken to impose discipline in all Qatar National stadiums, after the outbreak of violence.

The last of which was against CS Constantine and USMA, at the Chahid Hamalaoui Stadium in Constantine, last Monday, as part of settling the calendar of the 24th round of the professional association’s activities. After the match ended, the stadium witnessed many unsportsmanlike violations, with supporters storming the field and causing acts of violence and sabotaging the facilities of the Martyr Hamalawi Stadium.

Today, Thursday, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdel Rahman Hammad, told public television, explaining the fight against the spread of this alien phenomenon in Algerian stadiums: “We spoke with members of the Disciplinary Committee about the necessity of educating young people in order to preserve public property.”

Minister Hammad added: “There are legal measures that will be taken to impose discipline inside the stadiums, and we ask supporters to always remain calm in order to preserve sports facilities.”

It is noteworthy that Minister Hammad met with the National Executive Committee for the Prevention of Violence in Stadiums, at the Ministry’s headquarters, today, Thursday, to study the reasons for the spread of this phenomenon that may ravage the future of Algerian football, and to determine ways to eliminate this negative phenomenon.
