Belaribi explained that setting the current ceiling for benefiting from public rental housing at 24,000 dinars came out of consideration for low-income groups classified as needy segments. The disadvantaged who do not have housing or reside in inadequate housing, while the higher-income groups can go to other housing formulas allocated according to salary levels.
The minister added that benefiting from the various housing formulas remains linked to the families’ monthly income. If the ceiling of 24 thousand dinars is exceeded, those concerned can resort to alternative formulas, with the possibility of obtaining soft bank loans and paying in installments within the framework of the lease sale formula.
