National team: The first meeting between the players and Petkovic

On Monday evening, the first national football team held its first training session under the supervision of the new coach, Bosnian Vladimir Petkovic, at the national teams preparation center in Sidi Moussa in the capital.

The number of national elements that arrived in the homeland was completed successively, on Sunday evening, in anticipation of participation in the preparatory camp, which extends until March 26, and includes a mini friendly tournament in the presence of the teams of Bolivia, South Africa, and Andorra.

Petkovic gets to know his players

The new technical staff for the national team, led by Vladimir Petkovic, with the help of the duo, Algerian Nabil Nguez and Swiss Morandi Davidi, in addition to physical trainer Rongoni Paolo, began field work.

The players were divided into two groups, the first trained on the field, while the second headed to the muscle strengthening hall.

The first training session was devoted to the technical aspect, as the coach focused on practical matches to determine the level of his players.

The Desert Warriors will continue their preparations for the match against Bolivia, scheduled for Friday, at ten o’clock in the evening, on the grounds of Nelson Mandela Stadium in the capital.

The second training session, on Tuesday evening, will be open to the national media to interact with the players, starting at 21:45, as the Algerian Federation previously published on its website.

On the one hand, the South African national team’s plane landed on Monday evening at Houari Boumediene Airport in the capital, in anticipation of its participation in the friendly mini-tournament under the auspices of FIFA.

The Bafana Bafana delegation was received by the Vice President of the Algerian Football Federation, Mohamed Amin Maslouk.

The same team did not stay in the capital for long, as they traveled towards the city of Annaba, which will host their first match against Andorra, the day after tomorrow, Thursday.
