It pushed me to work, and I am full of hope of regaining my position with my country’s national team.”
Bouanani sent a clear message to the “Greens” coach: Vladimir Petkovic, regarding his desire to return to his accounts. That’s when he said: “I am working to be a better player to achieve my dream of participating in the World Cup.” He added in a related context: “I will be required to improve my abilities, especially since I am inspired by Riyad Mahrez and Paulo Dybala, who play with the left foot. I want to show the same effectiveness as them.”
The young Algerian player concluded: “In modern football, statistics are very important. I want to score more goals, and I am also working on improving my abilities with my right foot, so that I can surprise defenders and make it difficult for them to predict the movement I will make.”
Bouanani’s task in regaining his position with the Algerian national team seems very difficult. This is considering that Vladimir Petkovic has three active players in the same position, which he already finds difficult to employ.
Petkovic relies on Riyad Mahrez as a key player on the right wing, while Anis Haj Moussa is considered his first replacement and Ilan Qabbal, despite his great performances in the French League, remains a third option.
