During his speech at the opening session, Minister Belmahdi presented an intervention in which he highlighted, according to the same source, “The technical transformations witnessed by the world, and the entry of applications artificial intelligence To the fields of religious and fatwa, showing the opportunities that this revolution carries to enhance the efficiency of Fatwa and the speed of access to the information, in addition to the legal and moral challenges it requires that require caution and control.

Stretch Minister According to the statement, “Artificial intelligence, despite his great capabilities, cannot replace the mind of the human mufti who possesses the tools of ijtihad, understanding the purposes of Sharia, and realizing the complications of human reality, stressing that the rational mufti in this era is the one that combines originality and contemporary, and arms with science and piety, awareness of social and cultural transformations and technological developments”

He also called for “to set legal and moral controls to use artificial intelligence techniques in the field FatwaThe most prominent of which is the continuous scientific supervision by Sharia scholars, ensuring transparency and accountability, and respecting juristic diversity, while enhancing societal culture with the need to refer to reliable scholars, ”the statement adds.

The conference continues its days to discuss the mechanisms of developing the fatwa and enhance its role in serving societies in light of the current technical developments.
