Dozens of countries evacuated their nationals from Sudan, in accelerated operations, for fear of the fighting that broke out 10 days ago, and in parallel with the end of the “Eid Al-Fitr” truce, at a time when the Sudanese resorted to displacement outside the capital, Khartoum, towards other cities, while the number of civilian casualties rose to nearly 300 dead, according to the Sudanese Doctors Syndicate.

And the Sudan Doctors Syndicate announced, today, Monday, that the death toll from the clashes between the army, headed by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Rapid Support Forces, led by Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, has risen to 273 dead and 1,579 wounded. The security deterioration in Sudan prompted several countries to evacuate their nationals, led by the United States, China, Russia, Britain, France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and a number of Arab and foreign countries.

On the other hand, the foreign policy official of the European Union, Josep Borrell, said that the bloc was able to evacuate a thousand of its nationals from Sudan in a process he described as a “complicated and successful operation,” stressing that 21 diplomats from the United Nations Mission in Khartoum were evacuated, while the European Union ambassador left Khartoum, and moved To another region in Sudan, and Djibouti is the first station towards which foreign nationals of different nationalities are being evacuated using military aircraft.

For its part, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees announced that between 10,000 and 20,000 Sudanese have fled to Chad from the ongoing battles in the country, most of them children and women, while the World Health Organization has announced that more than 420 people have been killed and 3,700 others injured in Sudan since the outbreak of the clashes. between the Sudanese army forces and the Rapid Support Forces.
