Royal obtains a license to visit the Frenchman imprisoned in Algeria – New Algeria

Lotfi Boudjemaa, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, received today, Thursday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice, Ségolène Royal, President of the France-Algeria Association, at her request, on the sidelines of her visit to Algeria.
Royal said in a press statement, following the reception: “I am very happy to meet the Minister of Justice, who received me here at his ministry headquarters.”
She said in a statement to Algerian television: “I asked the Minister of Justice, the keeper of the seals, to allow me to visit Christophe Glaize, and he graciously granted me permission, and I will visit him tomorrow in the penal institution.” This came after she was received today by the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boudjemaa.
It is noteworthy that the Tizi Ouzou Judicial Council had upheld a seven-year prison sentence against French journalist Christophe Glaize, who has been imprisoned since last June in Tizi Ouzou prison, on charges of “praising terrorism.”
The French journalist was arrested last year after entering the national territory on a tourist visa, instead of submitting an application for a press visa, as he was communicating with elements belonging to the “MAK” organization, which is classified as a terrorist organization.
