The President of the Republic approves new increases for retirees

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a Council of Ministers meeting, which included presentations related to raising pensions and retirement grants, creating two new administrative provinces, in addition to the national strategy for developing e-commerce.

After presenting the agenda and a summary of the recent Cabinet decisions, and then the Prime Minister’s presentation of government activity for the last two weeks, the President of the Republic gave his orders, instructions, and directives as follows:

1- Regarding a presentation on raising pensions and retirement grants:

The Council of Ministers approved increases of 10 percent for retirees who earn less than or equal to 20 thousand dinars, and 05 percent for retirees who earn more than 20 thousand dinars, knowing that these increases were preceded by increases before that, which touched the guaranteed minimum wage.

2- Regarding a presentation on the creation of two new administrative provinces:
The Council of Ministers approved the creation of two administrative provinces, related to Maghnia and Alma.

3 – Regarding the national strategy for developing e-commerce:

The President of the Republic stressed that electronic commerce is a major challenge, requiring everyone’s participation to achieve this economic goal, using the necessary means, especially ensuring digital security, approving more facilities, and encouraging trade in this direction.

He also stressed that commercial transparency is the first goal and the true fruit of digitization and trade.

4- General directions:

Preventing the implementation of any demolitions of illegal housing in the winter, with the immediate arrest of mayors who resort to this arbitrary measure in the depths of winter, without taking into account the applicable Algerian laws and international norms, and that the governors of the Republic ensure that such operations are carried out in accordance with specific legal frameworks.

He ordered the Ministers of Agriculture and Interior, in coordination and care in accordance with various necessary mechanisms and procedures, that farmers do not incur losses, arising from the recession of some agricultural crops, by resorting to storage aimed at maintaining price stability.
