Traffic accidents leave 50 dead and 2180 wounded a week

Civil protection services revealed a heavy outcome in traffic accidents, within a week, which left 50 dead and 2180 wounded, while 183 fires of vegetation were extinguished, as well as the rescue of 2153 people from drowning and certain death.

A statement of the General Directorate of Civil Protection stated, on Tuesday, that during the period between 3 to 9 August, the Civil Protection Units recorded 26393 intervention and this is following the reception of distress calls by citizens, these interventions included various fields of civil protection activities, whether traffic accidents, home accidents, health evacuation, extinguishing fires and covering the security services for various demonstrations.

The protection units, with regard to the health evacuation operations, carried out 14654 intervention, where 141444 wounded and patient were evacuated to hospitals, while the same units recorded 2909 intervention for 1637 traffic accidents that led to the death of 50 people and the injury of 2180 others who were assisted and transferred to hospital centers, and the heaviest toll recorded in Setif State with the death of 6 people in a place The accident was injured, 118 others were injured, following 86 traffic accidents.

The protection units also carried out 3130 intervention that allowed 2247 fires, including industrial home and various fires, the most important of which were in the state of Algeria 262 fires, Blida 132 fires and Constantine 115 fires, while the same units in the field of different operations recorded 5700 intervention to save 469 people in a state of danger and cover 5014 ambulances.

On the other hand, the beaches and recreation agency, 4861 intervention, allowed 2153 people from drowning and certain death, as well as providing first aid to 1808 people, in addition to transferring 416 people to health centers, with 10 deaths in the sea and 3 deaths in water complexes.

The protection units, with regard to the forest firefighting device, jungle, agricultural crop fires and palm fires, extinguished 183 firew heights, including 26 forest fires, 19 jungle fires, 79 harassment fires, agricultural crop fire, 28 fruitful trees fire, 8 firefish fires, and 22 palm fires.
