UN Director General for Industrial Development: We are interested in establishing a new partnership with Algeria – Algerian Dialogue

The Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Gerd Müller, confirmed on Sunday that his organization is interested in establishing a new partnership with Algeria aimed at integrating young people into vocational training, transferring technology, and encouraging emerging entrepreneurs.
In a press statement he made after being received by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, he said that UNIDO is “interested in a new partnership, especially the integration of young people into vocational training and the transfer of technology and knowledge,” stressing that a “consensus has been reached on enhancing areas of cooperation” between the two parties, especially in Industry field.
After praising “the President of the Republic’s plans to invest in sustainable agriculture in order to achieve greater productivity,” he stressed that a new method of cooperation in the field of industry had also been agreed upon, especially with emerging contractors.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Boualem Boualem, and the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun.
