Saifi Gharib: The technical amendment to the constitution enhances harmony between the constitutional and legislative texts without prejudice to the constants – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Prime Minister Seifi Gharib confirmed that the draft purely technical amendment to the Constitution aims to achieve precise harmony between the provisions of the Constitution and the legislative system, without affecting the essence of national constants or established constitutional principles.

This came in a speech he delivered today, Saturday, while supervising the launch of a symposium devoted to discussing the two draft technical amendments to the constitution and the organic law related to the electoral system, where he stressed that this amendment falls within the framework of addressing purely technical issues, the aim of which is to improve the integration between constitutional and legislative texts.

The Prime Minister explained that the 2020 Constitution, initiated by the President of the Republic, constitutes a historic step and an important national gain, as it is an essential tributary to strengthening the democratic process and consolidating the rule of law.

Seifi Gharib also expressed his happiness at participating in this important symposium, which aims to present and explain the contents of the technical amendment to the constitution and the organic law for elections, considering it a station that reflects the firm will of the state to continue strengthening the democratic path, consecrating the rule of law on solid foundations, and continuously developing the legal system in a way that responds to the aspirations of citizens.
