Algeria is witnessing deep transformations at all levels

Ibrahim Boughali, Chairman of the National People’s Assembly, chaired a meeting of the Council’s office on Monday, where he appreciated the deep transformations that Algeria is witnessing at all levels, stressing at the same time the council’s commitment to keep pace with reforms.

Prior to the start of the works, Boughali opened the meeting with a word in which he highlighted the importance of exploiting the remaining parliamentary session to accomplish the largest amount of legislative actions, then seized the hint to refer to the deep transformations that Algeria is witnessing at the economic, social and political levels, within the framework of implementing the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Taboun, to build the new victorious Algeria.

The President of the Council appreciated what was stated in the last speech of the President of the Republic before economic dealers, especially his assertion that the power of the state is measured by its economy and army, and on the necessity of the centralization of industry, encouraging the initiative and productive investment, and supporting national institutions without resorting to debt, while preserving the social nature of the state and free education.

Boughali also expressed pride in the success of the fourth edition of the African -African Trade Exhibition, which was hosted by Algeria, as evidence of the escalation of the country’s position in the continent and embodying its commitment to African economic integration.

He concluded by emphasizing the commitment of the National People’s Assembly to continue to work to adapt the legislative system to national reforms, support investment, protect the national product, consolidate social justice, adult rule and the state of law

In terms of works, the meeting was devoted to studying the programs of the permanent committees activities during the regular parliamentary session of 2025-2026, and he also discussed the examination of oral and written questions deposited with the council’s office, where the extent of its fulfillment of legal conditions was verified, before it was sent to the government.
