The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, on Sunday in Algiers, stressed the importance of the university’s role in promoting economic leadership of Algeria at the African level, especially by embracing innovative ideas that respond to the requirements of development.
In a press statement after his visit to the Algerian pavilion at the African -African Trade Exhibition, which is conducting its activities in the exhibition palace with the participation of the bodies and institutions of higher education and scientific research, Badari explained that the President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Taboun, made scientific research and innovation major determinants of economic development, which allowed the Algerian University to transform a strategic lever that would develop innovative products that contribute to promoting exchanges with the rest of the continent.
He added that the Algerian pavilion in the African -African Trade Exhibition clearly highlights the results achieved at the level of higher education and scientific research, through the innovations presented, whether in the agricultural field, artificial or medical intelligence, animal production, or in the field of accurate technology.
These innovations would launch partnerships between Algeria and the rest of the African countries, devoting the prestigious national economy on the continent, according to Badari.
The minister also pointed out that “the offered products managed to attract a large number of dealers from several African countries in various fields”, congratulating the Algerian University on these achieved results, which allowed them, thanks to the accompaniment of the rest of the sectors, to hear its voice and highlight its position in the African continent.
In this context, he considered that the slogan of “Africa for Africans” is only embodied by caring for human capital.
