Widespread material losses due to weather fluctuations across several states – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Civil Protection Services recorded, in an updated toll up to midday today, Saturday, several material losses as a result of weather fluctuations, mainly represented by partial collapses of walls and the fall of hundreds of trees and poles, without recording any human losses.
In the state of Algiers, the municipality of Hydra witnessed the fall of a tree on the outer wall of the French Embassy, causing a partial collapse of the wall, while the state of Bouira witnessed the fall of a mosque silo made of aluminum and plastic, in addition to the fall of five trees and the interruption of electrical lines in several municipalities.
On national roads, strong winds caused traffic disruption due to falling trees and lighting poles, as the state of Bejaia recorded the fall of electrical wires and trees on National Road No. 13, while the state of Tizi Ouzou witnessed the fall of a tree on National Road No. 73.
The state of Bordj Bou Arreridj also witnessed the fall of lighting poles on national roads No. 05 and 45, while the state of Blida recorded the largest toll in terms of tree falls, with 11 trees, followed by the state of Boumerdes, with 10 trees and three electrical poles falling.
As part of the rescue interventions, civil protection teams in the state of Tiaret were able to remove a car that was stuck in the mud in the Ain Qamsa area, while units in the state of Relizane began operations to absorb rainwater from inside a residence in the municipality of Mandas.
The states of Batna, Biskra, M’Sila, Mila, Oran and Tipaza also recorded similar incidents, ranging from the fall of advertising banners and public lighting poles, which required immediate interventions to secure the surroundings and ensure the safety of citizens.
In the eastern and southern regions, the El Oued Province recorded the fall of four electrical poles in the village of Akfado, while the Jijel Province witnessed a tree falling on electrical lines on National Road No. 43, while civil protection services intervened in Ain Temouchent after a tree fell on a stable in the municipality of Oulhasa Gharaba, while confirming control over the various recorded situations.
