In pictures: Arkab receives the advisor to the President of the Republic of Benin – Algerian Dialogue

The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received today, Tuesday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Benin, Senede Chikiti, in the presence of officials from the Ministry.

On this occasion, the two sides praised the friendly relations between the two countries, and welcomed the remarkable development of bilateral cooperation relations, stressing the necessity of working to develop and strengthen these relations, especially in the energy field.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and intensify exchanges between Sonatrach, Sonelgaz and Beninese companies, especially in the field of fuels and marketing of petroleum products, in addition to the production, transmission and distribution of electricity, maintenance and marketing of electrical equipment.

On this occasion, the Minister of Energy and Mines stressed Algeria’s constant readiness to strengthen and consolidate its relations and accompany African countries in the fields of energy, by intensifying exchanges and training through institutes of sector institutions, as well as developing competencies and exchanging experiences and expertise.

Mr. Chikiti expressed his satisfaction with the quality of relations linking his country with Algeria, expressing Benin’s desire to benefit from the Algerian experience in several fields, especially in the field of energy, and hoping to see the participation of Algerian companies in investment projects in Benin, especially in the energy field in general.
