The Minister of Communication, Zouhair Bouamama, stressed, on Saturday in Algiers, the “great significance” of the campaign to plant one million trees for Algerians who wish their country to remain “always green and victorious,” praising this gesture that reflects “a great awareness among citizens regarding everything that benefits their country.”
In this context, Bouamama said, in a statement to the press during his participation, in the vicinity of the Oval Hall of the Court of the Olympic Complex “Mohamed Boudiaf”, in the community initiative aimed at planting a million trees, that this campaign “has great significance for the Algerians who wish that their country will always remain green, prosperous and victorious.”
Minister Bouamama also praised this wonderful gesture, which reflects “a great awareness among citizens regarding everything that benefits their country,” recalling the state’s strategy in this field, which aims to “afforest 4.7 million hectares of forest vegetation by 2030 to compensate for what fires have devoured in recent years.”
The Minister of Communication also considered that this initiative, whose activities are taking place under the slogan “Green, God willing,” is not only about planting a million trees, but rather consolidating the values of true citizenship among Algerians, who act spontaneously when it comes to their homeland. It is a movement that “confirms that we are at another stage in the path of building a new and victorious Algeria.”
Finally, the Minister highlighted society’s need for this type of initiative, praising the efforts of all those working in the field and providing concrete initiatives for the public good.
