Boghali condemns the continuing Zionist violations – New Algeria

Ibrahim Bougali, President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, expressedPresident of the National People’s AssemblyExpressing its strong condemnation and denunciation of the continuing serious violations committed by the Zionist occupation authorities and extremist settlers against the Palestinian people.

In this context, the Arab Parliamentary Union stressed its categorical rejection of these practices that violate religious sanctities and constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions. It also strongly condemned the storming of Occupation And the extremist groups in the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the accompanying provocative actions against worshipers and attacks on the sanctity of the place, in addition to the sinful crime that targeted the Hajja Hamida Mosque in the village of Kifl Haris, in a clear attempt to erase the religious and historical identity of the Palestinian people.

In addition, the Union stressed that these repeated aggressive practices fuel cycles of violence and extremism, and undermine the chances of achieving just and lasting peace in the region. The statement explained the need to oblige the occupation authorities to respect all signed agreements, most notably the Gaza Agreement that was reached in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, as it is an essential pillar for maintaining the calm and reducing escalation.

The Union also called on the international community and national and regional parliaments to assume their legal and moral responsibilities in supporting the Palestinian people and defending their legitimate rights, most notably their right to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, while stressing the need to hold the occupation authorities accountable for their systematic violations that threaten international peace and security.
