Algiers has been sitting for centuries on the throne of the Mediterranean as one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the region, which combined history, civilization and natural beauty. Throughout the ages it was a prosperous political and cultural center, and a strategic port connecting the three continents.

From the Kasbah of the Ottoman era, which testifies to the genius of Al -Omran, to the French landmarks that left its mark in its streets, the Algerian capital remained the heart of the beating country and the mirror of its rooted identity in history. Today, the city is preparing for a new page of its ancient career, with a recent vision that restores it as a sparkling capital that keeps pace with the development of the times.

The Algerian government launched an ambitious program to rehabilitate the capital and update its infrastructure in the context of an integrated strategic vision, based on the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Taboun, issued last December.

The details of this program came during a working meeting chaired by the Minister of Public Works and Battle Structures Abdel Qader Jalawi, along with the governor of Algeria, Minister Mohamed Abdel Nour Rabhi, in the presence of the ministry’s tires and officials of technical institutions.

It is worth noting that the project is based on four major plans bearing the symbolism of colors, as it has developed a white plan dedicated to rehabilitating the urban fabric and reviving historical buildings, the yellow plan aimed at developing transportation and transportation and enhancing the link between the municipalities, in addition to the green plan that focuses on restoring the environmental balance and expanding the green spaces, and the blue plan for re -creating the waterfront to make the capital a urban masterpiece on a beach Mediterranean.

For his part, during the meeting, the Governor of Algeria gave a detailed presentation on the ongoing projects and that to be launched soon, with practical suggestions to accelerate the pace of completion and ensure respect for the specified deadlines.

For his part, Minister Jalawi stressed the necessity of permanent coordination between ministerial and state interests to overcome obstacles and accelerate implementation, calling for benefiting from international experiences in developing major cities, and announced expected field visits to follow up the implementation of instructions on the ground.

With this ambitious project, Algiers returns to confirm its position as a city that combines originality and modernity, a city that preserves its historical spirit and opens its arms for the future, in a form that reflects the new ambition of Algeria towards sustainable development and civilized brilliance.
