The General Directorate of Civil Protection announced, on Tuesday, the general condition of vegetable cover fires within 24 hours, as 36 fires were recorded between jungle, wars and forests, and from 36 fires, 33 of which were finally extinguished while other points were placed under guard.
The same interests indicated that 33 fires were permanently extinguished, while a single fire is under guarding, while extinguishing operations continued regarding two fires in each of the Damous Valley in the province of Chlef and Jabal Bani Saleh in Qalma.
The registered fires included both states: Chlef, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Batna, Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, Jijel, Setif, Skikda, Mila, Boumerdes, Al -Tarif, Khenchela and Bouira, where protection teams managed to completely control the various foci of fire.
In the context of the field follow -up of the forest fires that witnessed some states of the country, the local authorities moved to various fire sites to determine the progress of the intervention and extinguishing operations, and coordinate the efforts made by civil protection, forest interests, the National People’s Army, the National Gendarmerie, and the concerned sectors.
In the state of Guelma, the place called Jabal Bani Saleh knew the outbreak of a fire, as the intervention teams mocked various material and human means, supported by a waterproof plane in view of the difficulty of terrain and the lack of tract, which allowed the control of the situation and the entry of the extinguishing process its last stages, while in the state of Souk Ahras, the Hajjajiya Forest – Mashta Al -Waraa (on the border with the state of Guelma) witnessed another fire, where the protection interests interfered Civil is supported by forest agents and various firefighting means, in coordination with the local authorities of the two states, and the operations are still continuing to surround the fire and prevent its spread.
In the state of Tipaza, the extinguishing efforts continued in each of the forest of Sidi Mohamed Kaloush in the Upper Municipality of Muslim Municipality and the Al -Qalasha Forest (brothers Morsli) in Kouayya, with the participation of civil protection units, forest interests, aircraft of the National People’s Army, and all public sectors and institutions, where intervention operations remain continuous until this moment.
In all sites, all the necessary human and material capabilities were harnessed, with operational leadership centers to follow up on the field and continuous coordination between the various interlocutors, in order to ensure full control of these fires and protect the population and property.
