Mazza “prevents” Bayer Leverkusen from bringing back his former star – New Algeria

German club Bayer Leverkusen closed the doors to its former star, Julian Brandt, to avoid negatively affecting Algerian international player Ibrahim Mazza.
He currently plays for Borussia Dortmund, and wants to leave and return to Bayer Leverkusen next summer, where he will be free from any commitment.
Simon Rolfes, Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director, explained to the German “Sport 1” channel that Brandt is not completely included in the team’s accounts, especially after Ibrahim Mazza’s brilliance during the current season, which makes the attacking midfield position reserved for the young Algerian star in the coming seasons.
Rolfs pointed out in his statements to the same channel, which was reported by the website “Al Ain News“, today, Tuesday,: “Brand? We have an extraordinary player in his position named Ibrahim Mazza.”
He added: “Mazza is a distinguished player and will certainly continue to develop greatly in the coming years. Therefore, bringing in Brandt, who is active in his position, is something that does not interest us.”
He concluded by saying: “Except for Kai Havertz and Florian Wirtz, we do not see the need to bring back any former players to the team.”
Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director stressed the need to continue granting Algerian player More space to play and express his talent. This is after he demonstrated in his first season his ability to excel at the high level.
