Iranian security source: We lost a group of scholars, but our nuclear program will not stop – Algerian dialogue

In a statement to “RIA Novosti”, the source said in response to a question whether Iran was able to revive its nuclear program after the assassination of a large number of its scientists: “We lost a number of scientists, and Israel before the war was targeting scientists, yet the Iranian nuclear program did not stop, and it will not stop now.”
It is noteworthy that the Israeli army had launched a large -scale military operation at the dawn of June 13, during which warplanes targeted military sites and facilities of the Iranian nuclear program.
The strikes included successive waves in different regions of Iran, including the capital, Tehran, killing a number of high -ranking military leaders, including the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army and the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, in addition to several nuclear scientists.
On Tuesday, the New York Times reported that some Israeli officials believe that Iran still possesses small secret enrichment facilities.
According to the article, Tehran may have built such facilities so that it can continue to develop its nuclear program in the event of larger installations.
It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump had announced on Monday evening that Iran and Israel agreed to a full ceasefire between them, after a confrontation that witnessed a 12 -day mutual shelling that Tel Aviv started on June 13.
