The Algerian state is committed to supporting and accompanying the community

The Algerian state affirmed its continued commitment to supporting members of the community abroad and strengthening accompaniment mechanisms to respond to their aspirations.

The Algerian Embassy in Rome organized a group iftar in honor of members of the Algerian community and Algerian students residing in the city of Rome and its suburbs, in a Ramadan atmosphere that reflected the values ​​of solidarity and cohesion among the members of the community.

The Secretary of State in charge of the national community abroad, Sofiane Chaib, participated in a speech in which he extended his warm congratulations to the guests of the embassy on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praising the attention given by the Algerian authorities to the members of the community abroad, led by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and highlighting their continued commitment to strengthening mechanisms of accompaniment and support for the benefit of members of the community in a way that responds to their aspirations.

For his part, Ambassador Mohamed Khelifi stressed that organizing this breakfast is part of the embassy’s efforts aimed at strengthening communication relations between members of the Algerian community and consolidating the spirit of national belonging, in addition to providing a space for acquaintance and interaction between students and national competencies residing in Italy. He also reiterated the pivotal role played by the embassy in serving citizens and enhancing permanent communication with them.

On this occasion, the Ambassador honored Abdelkader Makri, President of the Islamic Cultural Center in the city of Fabriano, for the sincere efforts made by his association and its continuous giving in service to members of the Algerian community, which contributed to strengthening the values ​​of solidarity and synergy among them and facilitating their integration into Italian society.

This collective Ramadan iftar was an opportunity to strengthen social ties and strengthen the bonds of rapprochement between the various components of the community, especially the students, as part of the embassy’s keenness to keep up with their affairs and pay attention to their concerns.
