The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, announced today, Saturday, that the number of national research projects rose to 68 projects during the current year, compared to only 35 projects last year, in an indicator that reflects the trend towards strengthening the application of scientific research results and linking them directly to the development cycle of the national economy.
The Minister’s statement came during his supervision, along with the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidari, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Emerging Enterprises and Micro-enterprises Noureddine Waheed, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, the opening of the first edition of the National Research Programs Products Exhibition, organized in the conference hall of the Chahid Abdelhafid Ahdadden Scientific and Technological Pole in Sidi Abdallah in the capital.
Badari explained that the new projects resulted in the establishment of two start-up institutions and the registration of 46 patents, which, according to him, enhances
The principle of directing scientific research towards achieving a direct economic impact and producing added value to the national economy.
The Minister pointed out that organizing this exhibition aims to highlight applied scientific skills, by linking scientific research to market needs.
Especially in the areas of food security, health security, and energy security, within the framework of Algeria’s development strategy for the period 2024-2029,
Based on the commitments of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, regarding strengthening the position of the Algerian university and scientific research as a fundamental driver of sustainable development.
Badari stressed that the results of the presented projects represent solutions that can be manufactured and marketed, allowing the needs of the national market to be met.
